The Best Motion Design Studios in the World (2026)

The studios whose work is handpicked most often into Motionimo’s library — Resight, Tendril, ManvsMachine, Giant Ant and more — with their best pieces.

MMotionimo

Lists of "the best motion design studios" are usually opinions. This one is built from data: the studios whose work has been handpicked most often into the Motionimo library, from more than 850 curated pieces. Each entry links to their work on Motionimo, so you can judge for yourself — and find your next reference, collaborator or employer.

How this list was made

Every video on Motionimo is selected by hand for its craft. We counted, for each studio, how many of its pieces made it into the library, then looked at what they do best. It's not a ranking of size or fame: it's a list of studios that consistently produce work worth studying.

What these studios have in common

  • A recognisable point of view. You can often tell their work before seeing the credits.
  • Design first. Strong typography, colour and composition, not only technique.
  • Range within a style. They apply their language to very different briefs.
  • Craft in the details. Timing, transitions and sound get as much care as the hero shots.

How to use this list

  • As a reference library: save the pieces you want to study frame by frame.
  • To find work: many of these studios book freelancers; follow them and keep your reel aligned with what they do. Our guide to building a career in motion design can help.
  • To brief a project: if you're a brand, send the pieces you love to the studio — it's the clearest brief there is.
